Pedro Machado Marangon was born in 2001 in Curitiba, the capital of Paraná, one of Brazil's states. As a child, he was interested in both artistic activities and the technological and scientific areas, and was unsure about what he wanted to do when he grew up. In 2015, he decided to pursue a career as a Pixar animator and began looking for a 3D modelling and animation program to build a portfolio. That's when he discovered Blender, which had a built-in game engine. This led him to explore game development, and he began creating small games, mostly labyrinth games in first person.
In 2017, Pedro entered the IFPR course on Game Development, which was integrated with high school. He made significant progress in his game development skills, particularly in coding, which he had not previously explored. Pedro began to spend his free time researching game development through Youtube tutorials, books, and online research. He quickly advanced from beginner to advanced in the Unity engine, which he currently uses as his main engine. In mid-2018, Pedro created an account on itch.io and began sharing his games online, starting with game jams. Since then he has since created and published 33 games on itch.io and participated in the Global Game Jam 6 years in a roll.
After finishing the IFPR course in 2019, Pedro enrolled in the PUCPR superior degree's course on Game Development, which he finished in 2023 and won the Marcelino Champagnat's award - given to those with the best academic performance in the class. As the final project for the PUCPR course, Pedro started developing his first commercial game, Faunamorph, currently in development and set to release on Steam in 2025.
